What to do in St. Thomas and Tortola???

What to do is St. Thomas? The last three times I've stayed on the boat and enjoyed the fact that everybody else went elsewhere. :D
WOW!

In Nassau I can understand that not St. Thomas!

The beaches are so beautiful and quite.

St. Thomas just does nothing for me, and I paid good money for what the ship offers. I got spoiled on my first trip to St. Thomas (and several other islands in the USVI/BVI) and nothing has compared since, so I tend to stay on board.

We did the nature/eco tour at St. Johns. They provide you a ferry boat, and then you "hike" on a paved trail up and down the mountain with a guide who points out plants, animals. etc. There was a huge termite nest that was along the trail and active when we went. Our guide was also a survivalist, so he would point out which plants you could use to suture an open wound stuff like that. Then you get a stop off at Honeymoon beach for a while. Then you stop by Caneel Resort to look at some ruins and I think it was sheep or goats. After that an open air bus takes you back to the ferry dock at Cruz Bay for the return trip to St Thomas. It was interesting to learn some about the nature of the island and a fun time at the beach.

Chances are it was donkeys. St. John has a lot of wild donkeys, although the east side of St. John does have a lot of wild goats. When we were anchored in Hurricane Hole on the NE corner of St. John we saw plenty of donkeys up on the hill on shore.

I think you are right!

Did you use Disney or an outside company? Your excursion sounds exactly like what my family is interested in doing! Any info you can give me will be appreciated as we book next Friday!

Sorry for the delay! We did it through Disney and it was great! I messed up on the Virgin Gorda and booked the more expensive by mistake and by the time I realized, the short tour was full. I kept checking and was able to book the am three days before departure at 8:30pm, right before they took down the online booking. Have fun!
