What to do in Chicago before picninc

I was wondering what everyone is going to do before the picnic on saturday?

I know we are meeting at Buca's Friday night, but what do you want to do up till 3pm.

I was thinking of doing either of the following:

• Sears Tower and Navy Pier
• Meet for breakfast somewhere then see "Lilo & Stich" as a group ....can you see 30 adults showing up for the 1pm showing for it
• hang out at the pool
• something else someone comes up with
• All show up at Patricks at 10am, and say that is when we thought it started.....just kidding, I wouldn't want to see us all make the news when he kills all of us

Hey Pat!!! I really like the last option, but I think that heads would roll, and I may not survive the onslaught!!!!


I was talking to DG and we were thinking of brakfast in the morning...we all have to eat anyway. I do not want to head in the city because the Taste of Chicago is going on and the city is a mess I heard.

What do you think??

Remember that those of you staying at the Embassy Suites get a free cooked-to-order breakfast each morning.

The Taste of Chicago is confined to Grant Park, so if you DO go into the downtown or Near North area, try to take public transportation.

I like the breakfast and then hanging out at the pool idea. I don't think I can get Bill into Lilo & Stitch. He's not a cartoon guy. I can't even get him to go see Scooby-Doo. But we're open to all suggestions. The Navy Pier was enjoyable. We also took one of those river tours, which we really liked, too. But I will tell you that traffic into Chicago was like something I have never seen before. It's bumper to bumper all day long!! We can throw some ideas around at dinner, too.

I'll be happy to get a double batch of fruit salad done by the time we leave home Sat! I also better go check my PM's & emails since, I thought party started at 2pm! Don't want to upset the hosts by showing up early!

Is this a DisCon Planning thread????? Do I have to remind you all that this is the DisConvention Board.. Chicago Picnic.......is there a new country in Epcot that I am not aware of... Let's stay on topic here like we always do...

Marsha, It's okay (i think) because these "meets" are part of
our planning process for DIS Con2!!!! ...kinda like a business lunch!
Actually, I know that there will be lots of talk about DC2!
I plan on giving PatrickMn my "hoop De Doo" money , too!
