DH,DS,myself & DD who is 5 & in a w/c are going to WDW in Nov. Here was my "original" plans. Get a room with the king size bed for me, DH & DD to sleep & then get a rollaway for DS(8). We opted for the king size instead of 2 doubles as me & DH are very tall & on the plus size.PLUS, DD is not comfortable sleeping in strange places so she would be in bed with the 2 of us. WELL, I just found out thru special reservations that they do not allow rollaways at All Stars due to the small room size & fire/safety issues. They recommended I get 2 rooms, 1 w/king & 1 w/ 2 doubles. Yes this would work, BUT if I were going to spend that extra $77 per night, should I just go for CBR (my second choice)????? IT would cost me the same to stay in 2 rooms at ASMo & 1 room at CBR.

What would you guys do????? I really want to do the all stars & I think the kids would totally love it but now I am rethinking my plans.......HELP!!!!!!!!!

If the cost is the same, I would go for the 2 rooms. CBR is very nice, but you will need some extra room for maneuvering the wheelchair, and it would be tight there.

If they will guarantee you connecting rooms at AS, you will have more square footage with the 2 rooms there than you would have at CBR.
We have not stayed at AS, but stayed at CBR a number of times. The rooms there are bigger than at AS (from what I have read), but not that much bigger. We found it to be a little tight with my DD's wheelchair. We always did some creative furniture arranging (push the farthest into the room bed to the wall). Still, it took planning to move around in the room.

I would go with the 2 rooms. I posted a question somewhat like this and was advised by the moderator on the resorts board to say that it would be one family staying in both rooms so that connecting rooms would be guaranteed. I also asked about 2 rooms vs. 1 room, and got suggestions that 2 rooms, with the connecting door open, would give us a lot more room.

So, we booked 2 rooms at All Star Movies, asked for connecting, and my reservation sheet said "guaranteed". Now, I have a Disney Club card (formerly Magic Kingdom card), so I don't know if that made a difference or not. Also, we're going the first week in December, value season.

Only thing, is your 8 yo ds okay with being in the next room, with the door open? It would be like one big room, but just something to think about. (hey, you would also get 2 bathrooms and 2 tvs and if you don't need the table and 2 chairs in each room, maybe you could put it in the second room and have more room in the first room.)

Thanks again for the great thoughts. I think I will go for the 2 rooms. I love the idea of 2 baths, 2 TVs, & more space. They ressie guy at special res. guarenteed me connecting rooms if this was the way I wanted to go.

Thanks!!!!

Maybe the boys in one bed, girls in another? With our strange crew we are always looking at creative sleeping arrangements!

Now having said that - I think you WILL like the space of the two rooms!! Just wanted to play devil's advocate!
