What to do ?? Dedicated 2br BLT for NYE 09

I was one of the first callers that AM morning to book at BLT when the reservations opened up.. I was lucky enough to dial in, get thru and make my ressies.... got a d2br from the 31st thru the 4th...with MK view NYE ..... SO exciting.... till now.. when the I hear... there is a high probability that my sister and her family may not be able to join us ....

Now I know I can just invite someone else.... but at that time of year, with the crowds etc...I think I'd rather just go alone with DH and DS... It will be the 4th time this year for us... and we can manage a nice trip w/o having to goto all the parks etc....

Downgrading to a 1 bedroom I am sure will be near impossible...... and not sure what happens with my points... Can I bank them even though I have used some borrowed points for a ressie I made for Oct ??

Anyway just thinking out loud wondering what you guys would do in this situation...??

IF you're able to snag a 1br MK view, just tell them to use your borrowed points first, then take current year points next. That way what's left will be bankable into your next use year. Just make sure you're still in your banking window. Shouldn't be a problem, just make sure they use your borrowed points for the new ressie.

Yes, you can bank the points if you're still within your banking window. Borrowing from the next year does not stop you from being able to do that. You also can bank more than once if there's ever a reason you want to keep some aside or have a ressie that you have to cancel and have already banked the remainder.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions but not limited to single transactions.

The borrowed points cannot be put back into the UY they originally came from. And banked points used in a reservation ( don't think you've got any banked in this) cannot be banked again.

You can bank your current UY points if you are still before your banking deadline. But any borrowed or banked points that have been committed to this reservation must be used by the end of UY. Just be sure you emphasize to MS that you want to use borrowed ( and banked if any ) points before current UY points if you alter the reservation.
