What to do, BLT or keep AKV?

We bought into AKV in February. We have a trip planned for March 09 to stay there. We've stayed at CR last October and loved it, with the convenience and proximity to our two favorite parks and young kids (4 and 2).
Would you advise purchasing BLT and then selling AKV after our March trip since we have only been paying in for 8 months?
Ideas?

It would mean incurring sales costs that cause a loss -- more closing costs, broker cost, also you are likely to suffer a price loss. From what has been posted so far, there will be about 11% standard view cost rooms at MK, 20% MK view and 69% lake view. The standard view will be somewhat higher point cost than AKV savanna view, the lake view will be about 15% to 25% higher (depending on room size and time of year) than AKV savanna view, and the MK view ... well, no matter what you don't currently have enough points to even start thinking about the MK view; it is going to be 55% to 70% higher in point cost than AKV savanna. If you really want to stay at BLT you undoubtedly will be better off owning there because it will likely be difficult at 7 months out.

Thats what I am saying. Buy into BLT and sell off our AKV ownership.

You will lose money as you have not owned for very long. I would wait it out. 300 rooms is neither tiny nor huge. If you tend to travel off peak, you may well be able to use the 7-month window. I wouldn't rush to buy and sell...

Not only will you lose money selling AKV, you will at least need to have 15-25% more points to stay for the same amount of time.
