When you check in you can ask to be one of the lodge's Flag Families. It is limited to one family per day, and it cannot be reserved until you are at the check in desk. If you do it, on your day you will meet a cast member in the lobby in the morning (I believe 7am). He/she will then lead you to the roof of the main building where you & your family will assist the CM in raising 5 flags (I believe the Wilderness Lodge flag and 2 disney flags, and definitely the US Flag & Florida State Flag). The view from the roof is great (the picture to the left under my user name is from that experience). We did it twice, and each time our guide (Ranger Stan, now retired) stopped at several places overlooking the lobby to point out intersting things and to tell us some history about teh lodge & WDW.
Disney also offers their Professional Portraits session at the Wilderness Lodge. This can be reserved in advance prior to check in. One of Disney's professional photographers will take photos of you & your family at several nice locations inside & outside the resort. There are different packages at different prices available.
