What to do at the ports?

Hi all,

I am planning on take the Fantasy 7 night Western Caribbean cruise next year but I have some questions about port experiences. I know we can stay at the ship and experience the pools, restaurants, etc without the crowd and for free. I also know Disney and other agents offers port experiences but they are all paid. The Cruise stops at these places:

Grand Cayman
Costa Maya
Cozumel
Castaway Cay

Can I just disembark with my family and stay at the nearest beach without paying anything? Can I get in and out of the ship for eating? Wich of those ports have beaches at a walkable distance?

CC (Castaway) is Disney's private island so the only thing that you would have to pay for is excursions, rental fees for snorkling gear, rafts, etc. The food is included in the price of the cruise. Tram takes you to the beach.
