What are some ideas of what to do after the parks close... Seems like they will be closing around 6:00 while we are there... What should we plan on doing afterwards... just curious to see if theres anything we havnt thought of...
When we used to visit from PA and bring our family, we would come back from the parks, take the kids to the pool, after the pool we would shower/freshen up, and have a late dinner in Citywalk. Put the kids to bed and go out for a few drinks at Citywalk. We always had our older child (20 now) watch our younger children.
There are so many great clubs and restaurants to go to in Citywalk. If you're in an on-site hotel, they'll also have great pools. Also in Citywalk, they have a movie theater.
Citywalk is wonderful at night. Lovely places to eat and a lovely atmosphere for wandering around.
We always have a car so we venture out for meals to other places as well, or head out to the Millenia Mall or one of the Outlet centres. It`s so nice to shop around 9 at night
Also hanging around the pool areas are lovely. Bit cooler and never really that busy.
There are LOTS of things to do after the parks close. The ideas mentioned already in this thread are good. The movie theater at CityWalk is very nice and relaxing too. The pool at the resort is also a good idea. When I was younger I used to do the clubs in CityWalk a lot but nowadays I enjoy just walking around the big lake and through the shops in CityWalk. If you are staying onsite in a Universal Hotel you could also take a boat (or walk if you want) to the other hotels and look around.
If you have a car then you have many, many, many more options. Drive over to International Drive for LOTS to do. Pointe Orlando, Festival Bay, Florida Mall, Ripley's Believe It or Not, just to name a few. Drive a little farther for Millenia Mall, Outlet malls, or even head down I-4 to Downtown Disney for some fun.
What kinds of things are you interested in doing, and do you have a car? If we know a little more I'm sure we can give you more specific ideas.
