What to do after checkout--before flight--how does BWV hold luggage

Well I have had an unexpected bonus. Due to our last leg of our flight being comair, and now cancelled, we get almost 3 more hours at WDW. Our flight now leaves at 6:35, so TTC will pick us up at BWV at 4:35.
My question revolves around how things work in the meantime. I know you can leave your stuff at checkout, but how is it safeguarded? I feel weird leaving my suitcase where all can see it. And should I leave my plane tickets in my suitcase? I am the kind of person who checks for tickets a dozen times on the way to the airport, but I'd hate to have to lug my purse around Epcot or another park. I guess I want to know if this stuff is locked up or not, and what other people do.
Also, is there a changing place at Luna Park? (Although I would not want anyone to think I'm using the wrong pool, ha ha). Perhaps we will just use some swim time, but we'd need to change back into street clothes before plane time and of course we could not use our room.

Two years ago we had a late flight and we left our luggage. They treated it just like early check in and when we were ready they brought it outside for us. Don't know if it's still done that way but you could call BW and check on it for your peace of mind.

I used to be perplexed by these type of problems.

However, in many cases I have found the bellman to be the answer. I check all kinds of things all the time (whether or not I am staying at a given hotel) -- luggage, computer, shopping bags, briefcase, etc.

The items you check are typically put in a locked room. I have never had a problem.

We've left portable tvs and video cameras with them on top of all our luggage.Never had a problem getting everything back just as we left it.

hi: we had a few extra hours before our flight the first week of may, and they locked up the luggage for us. it wasn't a problem at all. i'm not sure if there are changing rooms at luna park pool; i know there are bathrooms there and over by the quiet pool near community hall.

We always have a 6pm flight out of Orlando so spend the day at WDW and swimming at BWV after checkout. You can check your luggage and retrieve it when it is time to leave [we always tip for this service]. We change in the bathrooms at whatever pool we are in-usually Luna Park-as there are not changing rooms-but it has never been a problem. It is a great way to get extra time in before leaving. We usually end with a long swim and a bakery treat!
