What to do about the resort if flight is delayed until next morning?

In the city where I used to live, Spirit was constantly on the local news with irate passengers at the airport when their flight was suddenly cancelled and they were stranded for multiple days with no way to get home. Spirit is very bad for that, doesn't have daily/multiple flights from many cities, so when there is a mechanical issue, they may not be another plane available. The next flight might be 2-3 DAYS from now. I would never fly on Spirit. They cut corners and maybe the ticket is a few dollars less, but you get what you pay for.

If you are using DME, then they will automatically know. If not, then I would call guest services if the other reservation phone doesn't connect. We drive but had car issues that put us a day behind and we just called guest services and they connected us directly to our resort.
