What to collect? Shadowbox, collage ideas?

My wife loves to scrapbook and my daughter loves to collect little stuff (might start pin trading) and I want to start a Disney "display" area in our home/basement.

Anyone have any good ideas or examples of souvenir displays? Mouse ear hats, pins, autographs?

A few years ago, I bought a Mickey magnetic whiteboard (two, actually) from Disneyshopping.com.
They're beautiful!...21" X 28", wood frames. They came white, & DH painted them black.
I use them to display my WDW magnets....they have them for everything!!....resorts, attractions, characters, etc.

Along the bottom of the whiteboard are 4 hooks, separated by Mickey's cut into the wood (Soooo cute!). I use the hooks to hang our lanyards, loaded up with pins of course!!

Pressed pennies! In addition to being inexpensive and plentiful they are FLAT!

At a trade show I was set up next to a woman with a scrapbooking business (maybe Creative Memories) who had a great product. It was a magnetic board which she could set up like a scrapbook page and then change out when the mood struck her. It was really neat.

If you are going to pin trade, don't buy them at full price at the parks. Get batches of them cheap on Ebay from reputable sellers and trade them for the ones you want later. No point paying $10 for a pin when you can probably trade for it with a $3 pin.
