My honey and I will be at WDW in December. We are getting into the whole pin trading thing. I have purchased several pins for trading and we have a nice assortment, or so I think.

What I am most curious about is what kinds of pins should I purchase doubles of for trading. I am hoping for some opening day pins from the Pop. I am also hoping to come across some cool pins during the MVMCP's that we will attend.

Should I stick more with the character pins or go with some extras from the events? I'm lost. Mickey

Go with what you like! Or you'll go broke trying to keep up with the trends. If you really want to buy traders, the big ones to go for are Lilo/Stitch, Tinkerbell, and anything you like. :)

Buying pins in hopes that it will be a great trader is like gambling....sometimes you win.....sometimes you lose.

MVMCP pins are usually pretty good since they are limited to those who attend and Christmas pins are sought after by lots of collectors. There are also lots who collect Mickey, Tink, Stitch, and Figment. The Japanese collectors and quite a few from the States collect Chip and Dale. But as I said at the beginning, it's a roll of the dice.

Thanks for the input. I am looking forward to trading some of the pins we have with the CM's and other collectors. I just wanted to see if there was some magical formula, but it's nice to know it's more a buy what you like kind of thing. Thanks so much! Mickey
