What to Buy at WDW?

It does have a lot to do with how much you're willing to spend. Last year I spent around $300, not including the money I spent on pins.

I like the park exclusive CD's the best. I spent a little over $100 on them alone. Magic in the Streets, (the parade themes,) Festival of the Lion King, and Cinderellabration, all exclusive to WDW, and also the Cinderella soundtrack, and another cd, Fairy Tale Weddings just because it had a lot of my favorite songs on it, I don't think that was a park exclusive though

Some other things I bought were scrapbooking supplies, a journal, a photo album, and presents for my family.

The next time I go down, I'm limiting my pin buying to LE and / or special edition ones that are hard to find, for instance the ones for MVMCP, otherwise I can find them online, (E-Bay,) for a few dollars less.

So, to answer your question, if you want special Disney souveniers, get park exclusive and / or dated items.

I always like to get a pen and some pins, everything else I buy, which is a lot, is just stuff that catches my fancy at the time :teeth:

Limited Edition Pins with Date and sometimes event

Ornaments are a must, we collect them everywhere we go

This year I bought a set of 4 mugs, they are the "Mickeys Coffee" series I live their shape and "classic" look. I got Mickey Minnie, Goofy and Donald.

Every weekend my DH makes Dunkin Donut Coffe that we bought while back East and we have it in our Mickey mugs. It has become a ritual we look forward too. I love my mugs, best Disney purchase I have ever made.

My husband always gets a dated ballcap on our 1st trip of the year.
I have to have any new screensavers or mousepads for my computer, any new CD's of interest, a dated refrigerator magnet and any new cutesy antenna toppers they've got. My mom has to have a dated christmas ornament. We buy shirts because we just gotta have them and I agree with everyone else that I buy everything I can get my hands on before my DH orders me to STOP! LOL

I always have to buy a troll from Norway. I just took a picture of them, so hopefully I won't buy another duplicate

I usually buy a refrig magnet of the resort we are staying at, this year OKW for the first time.

And yes Anetnna toppers. Have to have a new Antenna topper or 3 each trip.

Is there a lot of scrappin stuff? Oh boy I will be in BIG trouble! LOL!

I collect Disney snowglobes (not sure I have room for more though). I also do ornaments I have 2 disney trees in the living room. One small behind the "wedge" of the sectional that is ONLY Pooh and Co. then the main one. Our dining room and DD's room get the regular trees. LOL! So I love the X-mas shop in DTD.

Last visit we worried too much about shopping for others and not ourselves.....

Lots of great idea listed here! I better start saving LOL!

The mouse ears with your name embroidered on the back.. a must have!

Love the globes too.

For the best deals on last seasons Disney memorabilia hit the Premium outlet for some fabulous deals.

I'm like Poohraedopey - snowglobes for me. I always buy at least one park exclusive while I'm there, but I'm to the point that I don't have room for any more - last count I had over 50 globes.

We usually buy a full spectrum from cheap to expensive. Last time it was magnet, antenna topper, snowglobe, 50th celebration watch, t-shirt, sweatshirt, Christmas snowglobe ornaments, mouse ears, shot glasses, and 14K gold charms for my bracelet. Yeah, Disney usually wipes out all of our spending money - but it is so much fun!!! We literally save back about $1000 - 1500 for the purpose of just blowing while we are there and I love it!!

And an indyyeti said, the outlets are wonderful to pick up great cheap finds - especially if you have several people you want to buy things for (I always bring something back for my 7 staff members) - have found pins, pens, shot glasses, etc for them and shirts, etc for me!

Some days I think I just bring home a paycheck to spend at Disney!!
