I may be going to WDW in June and I'm wondering what kind of souvineers(sp?) to buy.

When I went in 2004, I bought a 2004 Mickey and a T-Shirt. Should I buy the same this year?

Sure! I always get at least one shirt, but I think Christmas tree ornaments are great to have as well.

Whenever I go down, I always get at least one christmas ornament, and one box set, as well as a large snowglobe! I've got about 7 already! LOL!

Until next time,
John

I've gotten a new Disney watch every trip.

Dated souvenirs are cool. If you want to start a collection, I think a getting the current year Mickey and shirt would be a good idea.

Tees/sweatshirts are always nice, so sure you should by one this year. The one item I always buy is a photo album because it's a great way to show off our vacation pics.

Picture magnets are always a nice little souvenir.
And you can never go wrong with a t-shirt or sweater.

I always get a new coffee mug! I buy so much stuff at DTD, I just love shopping there! :goodvibes

We started buying beach towels. They are very nice & large, about the price of most adult TShirts, and come with so many different pictures at WDW. My DD got a Splash Mountain one (at the gift shop near the ride), and every time she uses it we say "I want to go back!", then laugh. We also bought an Epcot one while waiting for illuminations (it got chilly, so it worked as a light blanket).

Have fun deciding!!!

We always buy t shirts (of course) and also something silly. You know, one thing I like about being in WDW is that I can leave behind my inhibitions and just be silly, so sometimes it's a princess crown, and sometimes it's a wand that lights up. My kids get things like silly cups that they drink their coffee from in school. (My daughter has a great one that is like 3 times the normal size with dinosaurs all over it that she is pretty much known for on campus!!!!)

My point is, it has to be some "only in WDW" thing that gives you a little blast of fun when you are back in boring old real life!!

I take a TON of photos so I usually get at least 1 frame or mat for 1 of the better photos.

next month I am going to buy some tea glasses I saw last time. very good looking glasses that I will use every day.
also:
sunglasses with "Walt Disney World" on them. only about $16, I think, something I will use every day.
pens
more antennae toppers
mug
villians beach towel from MGM
christmas ornament
watch

I love the CD's!! There's nothing like driving to work listening to Spectro, Wishes, Lion King, etc. It's a little bit of the Magic every day!

last trip I got 2 t-shirts, pop magnet, cd, set of coasters, silver mickey pendant, and a mickey postcard pillow

I bought a Tinker Bell Notepad. I just love writing notes and grocery lists on it. I am reminded of our wonderful trip almost daily.

We always buy beach towels, tshirts, christmas ornaments and a snowglobe. My kids save their money so they buy whatever they like--watches, jewellery, golf balls, etc. We have a few other items like a mickey corkscrew and bottle opener as well.

A dated fridge magnet - a clip type so it can hold things while on the fridge. And a nice pen for work! I always smile at my Tink pencil when I use it at work. :coffee:

Wow - how do I narrow this one down. I agree with another poster that a WDW ornament is a must! DH and I do an all-Disney Christmas tree, and I only allow Disney ornaments on it, so we typically buy at least a few each trip. I am a huge collector of Disney stuff, so I always buy at least one of the following:

Sweatshirt, coffee mug with the date, shot glass, any new golf balls for DH, ornaments, gifts for other family members, pins, glassware, refillable mugs, something with the resort name on it, photo album, scrapbook paper and stickers, etc. I could go on forever.

I think if you are only going to buy a few things, get something with the date or the current "logo" so you can collect one from each trip.

Have fun shopping!!!

How much are you willing to spend??? LOL. I pretty much buy what I think is cool to have. Last July I bought this door/wall hanger that reads: "I would rather be at Walt Disney World." Then, looking at the other end of the spectrum, bought a Grand Floridian robe that cost well over $100. Beach towels are pretty awesome as well! I bought a Grand Floridian one and it is so soft!

Do you like scrapbooking? I know there are lots of scrapbooking items down at WDW. However, that brings me back to the question of...How much are you willing to spend? LOL

Attraction pictures are great souviners! I love looking back at the old pictures of my screaming down the 52' drop in Splash Mountain and sitting in a tube with my family after the family raft ride at BB.

I am a HUGE shopper when it comes to purchasing things at Walt Disney World. I love coming back home and looking at everything I bought and remembering the times I had before and after I bought it lol. :goodvibes

Down at Disney, all trees are money trees. :rotfl2: :rolleyes1
