What to buy a great friend turning 40?

What type of gift would give a great friend turning 40?

She loves DVC, Disney and Mexican food.

She's having a party with Mariachi players, catered mexican food and lots of margaritas.

I was thinking, whatever I buy her, I would put it in a pinata.

Well, it's not an expensive gift but I did it for a 30 y.o and two 40 y.o. recently. Get a cute mug or some other container. Put in the appropriate number of Dum Dum Suckers and put it in a plain bag and write on the bag "30 (or 40 or whatever) SUCKS"!

It's a cute kind of "gag" gift but it could be expensive depending on the container that you put the suckers in.

I have been going to a tons of these recently and everyone gives $40 gift cards. The last party the woman got one gift and all gift cards. She loved it.

I love the spa idea since I love pedicures and manicures but feel guilty spending the money on myself.

Since she is having a big party to celebrate, how about giving her the certificate a few days before the party so she can get herself all dolled up for the party with a fresh manicure and pedicure?

A spa gift certificate is not as exciting as a 20-year-old guy, but it would be much easier to wrap in a pinata!
