Things to keep her busy...coloring books, maybe some UNO cards, maybe a walk-man and some books on tape, a travel magna-doodle for tic-tac-toe or hangman or writing "I Love You" messages back and forth or playing pictionary, some snacks and juice boxes.

We took our laptop and ds watched a movie on it. He used his own headphones and it worked out great. DS also liked using the video camera to get some footage of outside his window---whatever to keep him occupied and he did get some neat shots of us above the clouds. His narraration is priceless!

Also, a change of clothes and any medications, any important papers.

We got our son a leapster....it's wonderful! It keeps him entertained and he's learning at the same time!

My kids each take a backpack which I always pack and don't let them look inside until we're at the gate waiting for the plane. They give me one or two things they want to take then I hit the dollar store for some surprises before we leave. I've gotten things like mini playing cards, mini magnadooles, magnetic chess and checker games, crayons and activity books, anything that will keep them busy. I also always get them each a new book. They rarely read much of them on the plane but I keep hoping someday it will happen. <g> I also pack a water bottle and some snacks, clean underclothes and socks, just in case we get separated from the luggage and if we're going from cold to hot shorts and a short sleeved shirt. I do the same for me, minus the toys, and also carry our toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo in mine.

when I was little my mom got me those books with the invisible pens (marker thickness), some with puzzles, some with pictures to color, as well as the books with stickers that are numbered and and a numbered page and you took the stickers and with corresponding #'s matched them up to make a picture. They flip open from the top and I believe can be found at Toys-R-Us or possibly even your loal wal-mart. Great thing is where the pen ink is invisible until it hits the paper no mess!

Snacks are a must, never know when you will have a delay, and now with no food on the planes. A lollipop for take-off and landing to cure popping ears is always great too.

You might want to pick up my-first-uno I have a set that is Pooh which we use on the plane!

A change of clothes and bathing suit is always in my carryon...if luggage gets lost at least you can swim and have a clean set of clothes until it arrives. As well as any essential medication.

Another suggestion if you haven't done so already go to your local AAA office and pick up the Disney pamphlets and being along a notepad and tell her about the different rides and make a list or itenerary on the flight with her, another great way to do this is with the Biranbaum's book thats for Kids!

We fly on Delta Song and each seat comes with it's own tv. They do supply small headphones, but they bother my 5yo DS so I bought regular head phones and now he watches his cartoon network and my DH and I can watch our own channels. I usually bring gum for him to chew on the way up and down. When he was younger I would bring juice bottles he had to suck on the help hi on the way up and down. And I usually dress him in loose clothing a t shirt and sweats so he can be comfortable in the seat.

Don't forget to bring a pack of chewing gum! This will help with your son's ear preassure. Snacks...snacks...snacks.. and something to drink with a screw top. I usually pack them a couple of coloring books and crayons and a small blank notebooks to doodle or bring the travel size magna-doodle.

My dd loved those Color Wonder markers for the plane. I bought her a blank pad and one of their activity books and she doodled away and I didn't have to worry about ink getting all over her hands and clothes like with regular markers.

Snacks and drinks are a must too.

We brought fruit snacks for DS for takeoff and landing since he's not a gum chewer.
