What time?

I posted this on anther board, but then I thought all of the transportation experts might have the answer.

What time do the Disney buses start running from the resorts to the parks? Specifically, from the Poly to AK. We have an 8:00 am PS and I have been told that we may not be let into the parking lot before 8:00 am if we drive. Any help?

This seemed like such an easy question, since I had all the info from our trip on the table beside me...

Straight from the brochure they give you at checkin: "Early morning Character Breakfast transportation is available for Resort Guests with Priority Seating at a Disney Theme Park or Resort location. Check eith your Resort's Guest Services Desk for detailed information, since it varies between Resorts."

Clear as mud, huh? I seem to remember that buses run about 30 minutes to an hour prior to park opening, depending on extra magic hour and park opening and other factors. You may just have to ask at Guest Services what the best way to get there is. But I can't imagine that they wouldn't let you into the parking lot, especially as a resort guest, with a PS.

I have been in a taxi sitting outside the Animal Kingdom gates. The driver told us that a previous day he had to let his passengers off at the main gate and they took Disney transportation in. The CM this morning finally relented and let us through. We made in for our breakfast, but I strongly suggest anyone going to Donald's for an early breakfast take the Disney bus. That is the only way you will be guaranteed through the main entrance. For whatever reason the AK gates do not open early.
You should be at your resort bus stop by around 7:15am. Be sure to let a CM know that you need a bus for the AK.
