What time.....

Our flight home is at 9pm, we are using the Virgin check in at Disney springs.

What time do we need to get to airport? I've heard that getting through security these days can take a while.

They have been stepping it up at TSA, so likely you'll be hanging around for a while, thats not to say it'll be quick when you leave lol

Back in Jan we had enough time to wait for a table, and eat at Outback before the gate opened.

Takes a while to get through so definitely give yourself 3 hours (just back).

Even an internal flight via Newark is painful!

Arriving was a nightmare - 6 international flights came in at the same time and literally 7 TSA staff processing everyone. Going out was better but still painfully slow.

We usually arrive the full 3 hours before too xx

We used the Virgin facility at DS earlier this month and also used their transport to get to the airport. We were picked up at 4:15 and got to the airport around 5:00 (had two more pick-ups after us) so were there just under 3 hours before the flight (7:50). Security queue was much longer than Gatwick but we were still through it in plenty of time. So I would allow yourself a good 3 hours after dropping off your car - assume you will have a hire car for the trip.
