We'll be going to DL Aug 28-Sept 4. This is my first visit so I'm not familiar with crowd levels, etc. I've been reading all of the HydroGuy threads. We are planning on doing a breakfast one day at Goofy's Kitchen. So my question is... what time should we we plan on eating? Should we go for 7 am or should we plan on later like 11 am so we get some attractions in before the crowds?

Thanks for your recommendations!:flower3:

Is that Labor Day weekend? Either way I recommend that you go to DL at opening & tour & pick up a few FPs.... THEN enjoy a nice big meal at Goofy's as it starts to get crowded.

Additional benefits:

- Take the Monorail from Tomorrowland to the DLH & your Goofy meal.
- Slide by DCA (by walking thru the GCH) on your way back & tour a little & pick up a couple of FPs prior to taking your mid day break.

Where are you staying?

Have a great time at Walt's Park. :thumbsup2

I agree! This is what we do too. Hit the parks at opening, and then leave around 10 for breakfast at 10:30. (or 11:00) You can get SO much done in the first hour or so at DL, I would hate to be sitting in a restaurant at that time.

<----and, we LOVE Goofy's Kitchen!!!

It's the weekend/week before Labor Day (Sept 7).

We'll be staying at Red Lion Hotel. It's on Harbor Blvd. right past Katella Ave.

Thanks for the advise! I think we'll plan on breakfast at 10:30-11:00. Hound 109, thanks for the tips I think we'll have to do that. Basketballmom, glad to hear you love it. I thought from what I could find online that the menu looked like it had a larger variety than the others.

I prefer doing Goofy's at 7:00 a.m. because there seem to be fewer people, and we can get it out of the way and get on with the parks.

But if you go late morning, you will be in the parks, then you will have to go all the way back to the DLH for Goofy's, and then all the way back to the parks again. AND if you go at 11:00 or 11:30 and it happens to be a day when they close at noon, you may run into a lack of characters in that last hour. (Sometimes they let people stay and finish eating but the characters leave.) If it is day when they close at 2 00 p.m., you should be okay with late morning. I would check with Disneyland Dining to make sure of what time they close the breakfast/brunch on the day you are going before you decide what time to go. If it is noon, then you should get there by no later 10:00 a.m. to be sure you don't miss characters. Plus, a lot of folks have left Goofy's and gone into the parks by that time, so you should have a lot of character time for your group.

Goofy's has a huge variety of food. I have been eating there since 1992 and I never miss it on a trip. We are going to DLR for only one day on July 21 - very little time to do much at DLR - and I am STILL working in my trip to Goofy's!!

Later in the morning for sure!! We usually go around 11, later if they close later. We love Goofys :thumbsup2

I am a firm believer in "hit the park early with a cup of coffee and eat later" :goodvibes
There is nothing better than taking a morning jungle cruise drinking your coffee and enjoying the sites, and cool morning breezes :thumbsup2
There is so much to get done in the morning the park is sparkling clean and fresh :) and usually pretty empty. I plan brekki for the last available spot. That way we have eaten late and a snack will hold us till dinner.
I will get all our big FPs by that time too and we are set for later to enjoy the rides when others are waiting in those long hot lines :)
