We've been to wdw a couple of times, adn this is the first time we will visit universal. I have booked 3 nights at RPR right after 5 nights of wdw.
What time of day would be best to check out of wdw and check into RPR?
We will be using a town car and have to tell the driver ahead of time.

Would you go bright & early?
Or do a last minute favorite attraction at wdw first then go over to RPR, anyway FOTL means no line waiting at Universal?

thanks!

We do the switch to the dark side as well, this will be our third time. We usually switch in the afternoon. The parks close so early that we usually only get one ride in that first day at universal. But we are staying 7 nights at Universal, so.... if you have a short universal hotel I would go early so that you can catch everything at universal.

Thanks!
Depending on what time we switch, we either have 2 days or 3days at US. I think we will go in the AM.

i go bright and early.
but, i am an exception to this.

for years, i stay at the motherland, and the darkside.

i check out of the disney resorts early, 7:00 am and have car service pick me up at 7:15 am.

i have car service do the free grocery stop for me before I get to the onsite hotels at universal.

i am checked in to the hotel by 8:00.
i have my luggage stored with bell services and then leave for city walk to have real coffee and a cinnabon.

when the parks open, i am there and ready.

The hotel will call you on your cell when your room is ready.
they will deliver your luggage to your room.
call star service on your phone when you are in your room and want your luggage.

you don't have to return to the lobby for your room number as it will be keyed into your cards once your room is assigned.

i prefer to be at the hotel early and enjoy the parks during the day.
i call it an early night the first night i am at these hotels so i can rest up for the rest of the week.

We also do this..traditionally we like to end our WDW stay with a Chef Mickey's breakfast and then get the town car to Universal..we like to be at Universal around 11 Am...that way we have a good ending to WDW but still lots of time at Universal and you may get lucky and have a room ready ( it happened to us once ;) )

Get up and go bright and early before the traffic gets bad.

Check in, get your cards for front of the line access and hit the parks. You will feel so spoiled!

Last time we were up bright and early and checked into HRH by noon (that is bright and early for us on holiday :thumbsup2 however this time we are switching on Christmas Day (don't even ask - based on the rates we could get checking in Christmas Day as opposed to Boxing Day) so we are heading to MK and having breakfast at CP, maybe doing a couple of rides or madly clawing our way out of MK depending on crowd level. Either way we are intending to be checked in to PBH, do a couple of rides and be settled into the CL for happy hour before unpacking.

I would say bright and early too cause we have on future trips stayed at The Doubletree for 2 to 3 days and the moved to RPR at 9:00am and had no problem and settled in and straight to the parks
