What time to go to dinner?

We are going to be at MK and want to go to dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe. If MSEP is at 9 and Wishes at 10, what time would you schedule dinner at WCC so we can get back to MK for the parade and fireworks?

Probably no later than 6:30, maybe 7pm assuming you are seated at the actual time of the ADR. You would want to be heading back out to the MK boat dock no later than 8:00.

I would allow about 45 minutes for travel (WL to MK)...it probably won't take that long, but the boat ride is about 10-15 minutes and the boats come about every 20 minutes. So if you just miss the boat, it might be 20 minutes before the next one comes. In terms of the meal, I tend to allow about 75-90 minutes for a non-Signatures TS meal (so, let's say 90 minutes to be safe). That means about 2 hours and 15 minutes at this point. You want to leave some time for getting into the park and finding a spot to watch from. So, all in all, I would look for an ADR in the 6:00-6:30 pm range (about three hours before the parade starts). Better to finish early and get back with time to spare than to run late and miss the start of the parade.
