What time to book 1st fastpass? 1st time flyer!

This is my first time flying in so I'm curious when I should book our first fastpass for. It will be and my dd14. Plane arrives on 4/16/16 @ 1:55 pm. We know our way around pretty good so feel like we can get to Magic Kingdom after check in pretty easily (fingers crossed). I was thinking about 4-5pm fastpass? Does that sound reasonable?

Assuming you are staying on property and taking Magic Express, you should be at the resort by 3:30. After checking in and catching a bus, you should be in the park no later than 5:00. I wouldn't make a FP any earlier than that. You don't want to be running to catch the first FP window if your flight is delayed or the buses are running slow.

I believe I've read that you need to add 3 hours to your plane arrival to be safe. That would put you at a 5-6 FP+ window. Hopefully others will chime in with their actual experiences!!!

My mental estimate matches @minnie mum exactly. 5 at the earliest.

Are you staying on property and are you using Magical Express? If so, I would agree with the others that a 5-6 FP+ would be a good 1st time. We find it is usually 3 hours from the time the plane lands to the time we walk into the park. Also, I would do my most important FP+ as my 2nd or 3rd, so that if there are any flight delays that you have a better chance to make that one.
