What time to arrive at MK?

We are staying at Marriott Harbour Lake, which appears to be about 15-20 minute drive. From what I understand the park opens at 9, but we should be able to get in the gates at 8 (someone please confirm). We will be doing regular parking so my question is what time should we plan to be there so we can walk through the gates at 8, assuming that it is actually 8 and not 9.

The park opens one hour before the actual park open. Guests are allowed onto Main St, as far as the castle. You can walk through the gates at 8 if the park opens at 9.

Thank you. I'm trying to figure out how much time I should allow to park and actually get to the gates. I believe I need to take a monorail once I park. Ithas been about 15 years since I've been to the park so not sure how all this works!

I would want to be parking my car no later than 7:30. That should put you walking into the park close to 8:00, but a little earlier would be better.

You can take the monorail or the ferry. I think the express monorail directly to MK with no stops and the ferry start one hour before park opening. The monorail that goes to MK but also stops at resorts starts up earlier, and it seems less crowded and just as fast than the express route (at least on our trip 3 weeks ago).

You can enter MK up to the castle some time between 7:45am and 8am on days when MK opens at 9am.

If you want to enter right when they allow people in then I'd be at the parking lot by 7:30am.
You will then go through bag check and take the ferry or monorail.

I would plan about 30 minutes to park, go through security and take the monorail or ferry.

As mentioned, you can enter the park about 8, and go down Mainstreet, but will not be let into any of the lands until 9. Unlike some of the other parks, MK does not let you in early.
