What time should you arrive 2 DL on New years Eve?

What time does everyone suggest arriving for New years Eve. We have to buy my BFs ticket that morning since its a block out day for him. I talked him into to leaving the house at 8 am. We live abour 5 mins from disney. Meaning arriving in the park at 9 or 10 since he will have to wait in line. Any suggestions?

If you have to buy a ticket I urge you to go as soon as possible. They have been forced to stop selling tickets for Disneyland, as early as 11:30, due to high capacity lately.
