What time should I make reservation at Blue Bayou?

Paint the Night is at 8:50. What time should I make dinner reservations at Blue Bayou? I don't want to rush through dinner, but I would like to be done in time to see the parade? Thanks.

When are you going to the park? During the busy times of the year (e.g., Spring Break, weekends, etc.), PtN is still a very popular show and the curb-side/front-row spots fill up well before the parade steps off. If you're wanting a chance at a curb-side/front row spot, I'd aim to be on the route no less than 90 minutes before the parade starts (two weekends ago - the start of the peak Spring Break period - I saw folks sitting on the curb from just after Soundsational finished up). I'd allow about 90 minutes for dinner at Blue Bayou (it usually takes my family about 60 minutes for a two-course meal). So all in all, to be safe and allow for unexpected delays (e.g., long wait to be seated), I'd look for a reservation between 5:00 and 5:30 pm or there about.

Thanks for the info. Since we are 3 adults, I don't need to get curb-side/front row spot for the parade. I will let the little kids get that spot. I remember when my son was small, he would not have been able to enjoy the parade unless we got the front row. I am happy to see the parade.....even if its in the back row. I think I will allow 30 minutes to get any spot I can. Since we are eating at Blue Bayou, where should I go after dinner to watch the parade?

I will definitely allow 90 minutes to eat. I guess I will make my reservation for 6:30/7:00.

Luckily, I think PtN can be viewed fairly well from pretty much anywhere on the parade route. If you wanted to couple fireworks viewing with PtN, I would aim to watch the parade from wherever you wanted to watch fireworks. I personally like watching PtN and fireworks from Main Street, but the IaSW Mall area is another popular place.
