What time should I book my FP+ for?

After an eternity of waiting, we are so very close to being able to book our FP+ times! I'm having a hard time deciding when would be a good time to book our first FP+. We are doing two days at the Magic Kingdom in July and we plan to get there for rope drop. What time do the lines start getting long? I know we can get additional FP+ if we use our three, but our main focus is to try to avoid the long lines with our little ones as best we can.

I have been struggling with this too! We leave in 28 days and I have ours booked. Originally I booked them for early afternoon. Then they changed things up with the "get a 4th, 5th, etc. FP+"
I went back and forth about what to do. We have always been rope drop folks. We would get so much done in the first couple of hours. I am afraid that people will book early morning FP+ so that they can get more, and I am afraid that will bump up the standby times.
I went ahead and made ours for 10-1 ish and am hoping for the best

There's a thread how someone was able to use 10 FPs in 1 day. He prebooked his 3 used them, and was able to get a new FP every time he used the last one. Meaning booked 4th used it, booked 5th used it, booked sixth used it, and so on. For July I'd say 90 mins after RD. I don't give a time because maybe the park opens early that day. Say they open at 9 and you book your 1st at 10:30-11:30, even if lines still short waits you have until 11:30 to use that fastpass. For this Sunday I have buzz 10:30-11:30 Speedway 11:30-12:30. We can arrive at Buzz at 11:20 and then walk right over to Speedway. I think a key thing is to know where all the FP kiosks are!
