we are staying at contemporary and would love to have breakfast at Bon Voyage our last morning before heading to airport for 12:20pm flight. What time reservation do I need to make this work? Any considerations for transport, etc? Should we check out and have our bags held ahead of breakfast assuming I can get the reservation?

Thanks.

If you are using Magic Express I believe you leave for the airport 2:30 to 3:00 before your flight. I personally wouldn't make a reservation that day because I get to the airport at least 2 hours before my flight and if anything is delayed you will cut it close. What time is the first available?

Will you have your own car? Are you planning to take Disney's Magical Express? Your method of transportation to the airport is a major factor in this situation.

It shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes to get to the airport if using your own car or another direct mode of transportation, like Uber or a taxi. If that's the case, and you're able to leave directly from the BoardWalk, I'd plan for breakfast around 8:30 or so. If you need to get back to the Contemporary, I'd book at 7:30.

To be honest, I'd recommend forgoing Magical Express if this breakfast is important to you, so you could leave directly from the meal.

Thanks. I'll look to get this time and take a taxi straight from restaurant.

Thanks for the info - I am definitely OK to take taxi to airport directly from breakfast. Question - if I do this, can I take my luggage on the transport from the hotel to Boardwalk?

I can be a bit flexible on airport arrival time because I have TSA pre-check for all of us and also am Diamond Medallion so have easy bag drop off.

I really appreciate this help.

With PreCheck and your Delta status, the airport will be a breeze.

Unfortunately, luggage is technically not allowed on Disney transportation. I've seen people bring suitcases aboard buses before, but the driver has the right to deny them. Not sure it's worth the risk. You might want to consider Uber or a cab from the Contemporary to the BoardWalk. It's quick and cheap.

What are you going to do with your luggage while you are at breakfast? I wouldn't imagine the restaurant has room to store luggage

In order to do this, you would really need to taxi/uber from CR to BWI, but I don't know if BWI will hold your luggage for you. Plus, would you really want to take your luggage there, get it out of a cab and then back into another cab after breakfast?

You could have your luggage held at CR and then cab/uber back and forth to BWI. Then take another cab from CR to the airport (I would be leaving CR by 10:15 am at the latest). Or do the breakfast another day?

Check-out is by 11am, so yes, you're going to leave your luggage at Contemporary, but let's work backwards:

1.) Orlando airport can have long lines for security. You need to be there by 11am'ish - easy?
2.) Need to be picked-up by 10:30'ish to make that work.
3.) Need to finish breakfast by 10'ish to make getting back to Contemporary for 10:30 (yes, you're taking a taxi, because I'm spending your money if you can afford the Contemporary and feel the need to Bon Voyage).
4.) You'd need to arrive at restaurant by 9'ish (or earlier) - to have the hour to eat that Disney wants you out by.
5.) Need to leave Contemporary no later than 8:30 (by taxi - because I'm spending your money and resort-to-resort takes too much time - which is why we avoid these things) to arrive before 9am.
6.) Bellman needs to take you luggage before 8:30am, so you can be early for the taxi (that I keep spending your money).

I'd Uber back and forth in the morning, and check out and leave from CR via Uber, ME makes you get to the airport FAR too early, especially if you have pre-check IMO.

Thank you so much! This is incredibly helpful.

Thanks. This sounds like our plan.

Is it possible for you to check in for your flight and check your luggage at the Contemporary before heading to breakfast?
