We finally made it almost....wondering what time of day on our 60 days out (prior to trip) they will let you make reservations? We are pacific time zone :confused3

In almost all cases you do not need to make dining reservations as soon as the window opens. My guess says the online systems rolls somewhere between midnight and 6:00 am (Pacific Time). I know I've looked at midnight and the new day hasn't been loaded, but it was available the next morning. Maybe Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve book up early, but in all other cases I can think of, ADRs are usually available well after the 60-day mark (you can often make prime ADRs with only a week or so to go).

Well usually rise at some point in night to get drink, decided to check if could make reservations yet online...day is loaded but not letting you make reservations as of 1:50 am pacific time. Currious what the magic time will be.

Then went back to bed until 6:00 am, had to get up anyhow for work. Was able to make our 1st dining reservation online! Yahoo!

7:30 am pacific time 60 days out, and Fantasmic sold out. Ugh...

It's not sold out, you have to click into the different options for Fantasmic to search for reservations. The reservation options will not show up if you are searching on the reservation page for all of the restaurants.

Oh, its sold out. I called to confirm.

What days/times/party sizes are you looking for? I just did an online search and found a TON of openings for all options except the dessert party, as the Hungry Bear is under refurb 60 days from now. Heck...I even found a dessert party spot for tonight...

Well, as it turns out I believe I had a combination of things go wrong with my attempt at reservations. First, I was searching for our whole group, which is 9. It appears as though the restaurants involved don't have tables for 9, so they show as "no available times". Which is odd, because why would that number even be available in the drop down for party size, if its not available at all.

Then, part 2 is that I got a rookie CM when I called dining. She said that there were no times available that day either. Then silence. I said, "so, did I need to be on the phone around midnight or something?". Silence. I said, "any recommendations? should i just keep checking for cancellations?" Yes, she said. Okay, then. Thanks.

So, I kept trying different things all day long. I tried different party sizes, and tried all of the different restaurant options. Eventually, later in the afternoon I was able to get a party of 5 reservation for the River Belle Terrace. Blue Bayou still showed sold out. So I called dining back - new CM, much cheerier and more knowledgeable. He informed me that Blue Bayou has no tables big enough (again, why have the number in the drop down then?), and that if I make two reservations, I have to make them in separate names, but that the restaurant will honor both then, and try to sit us close together.

I made a second reservation for 4 at the same time (3:50 pm, only thing available). Thus, I have reservations for all 9 of us. Yay!

I think part of the problem is that this is the Friday before Dapper Day? Maybe that's why they're selling those shows out quicker.

Here's a question. They have 2 shows that night. With a 3:50 reservation, will we be seated for the earlier show? (I hope so!)

Thanks!

Congrats on being able to make reservations! I've now made 2 reservations....3 more to go. Yes I think Dapper Days is definitely making the reservation thing a little more challenging. Still have to make our Blue Bayou reservations...fingers crossed. :grouphug::smickey:

Help! Definitely getting frustrated. 1st of all the fantasmic packages online are not even open for reservations 60 days out....however restaurants are. Its showing the furthest out you can book right now would be 58 days (feb 28)....& when I try to book Fantasmic Blue Bayou it says times avaialable...but it won't reserve when I click the time....tried same thing with riverbell & it works just fine.

All is good now... They just opened & I called.

They are having glitch in system with fantasmic diner packages not showing on 3/1 or 3/2....yet. They offered to make just a blue bayou reservation & for me to call back & try to switch to fantasmic once it becomes available. But I opted to have them switch the reservations I was able to make on 2/28 to the Blue Bayou at 5:00......Didn't want to risk it, in case there ends up being a reason the calendar would not let them book. Regardless I am VERY excited, to have the Blue Bayou fantasmic reservation.:cool1:
