Since it looks like there might be a new discount released March 1 :) I was wondering what time of day they usually release it. Midnight? 8 am? When they feel like it? I'm just trying to plan out my morning in case I need to call and change my reservations. I don't think DD's school will consider me changing our vacation reservations a valid excuse for arriving late. :lmao:

Ooh, I'm dieing to know too! I'm a teacher, so I get to work early and then I'm not allowed to use my phone or computer for personal use throughout the day. I could call mid day during my lunch break. Planning my strategy of attack for my husband to call if needed.

In August I remember it was about 7am CST (8am EST) because I was waiting. :rotfl:

Here is my experience with discount release, maybe someone with more experience can post more. The ideal world is they release it live on the website around 6am EST, and you can book it then. Later when the phones open up you mention the code and they can use it. As long as the CMs have been told about the code. They don't tell them until the day of, and you get the occasional CM that hasn't heard of it. The phone lines tie up FAST and LONG. Last time I did it we called right when the lines opened and were on hold for like 3 hours. The way it went for me though was a lot of travel agents were posting the codes on twitter and the website did not update until around 11am.

:goodvibes Good info!!!

I work nights so I will be checking when the kids get up for school!!!

I hope it includes Oct.!!!!

So now I have another question: Would I be allowed to just make the new reservation online and pay the $200 deposit and then cancel my current reservation and get a $200 refund? If so I might do that since it would be easier than being on hold for so long. Am I correct in assuming that my ADRs are *not* tied to my package reservation? I don't want to lose those!

We're heading in late May and I'd really love free dining. We started out doing a "bare bones" vacation - just the hotel and tickets. Then, when we booked, we decided to get quick service dining. We then decided to do 2 character meals and after crunching the number we upgraded to the regular dining plan. I'm calling tonight to see if I have a PIN (forgot to when I was upgrading dining) and to upgrade up from Pop to CS. :rotfl: DH and I decided we really wanted queen sized beds since we'll be sharing them with a 5 and 2 year old.

On hold for three hours?! :scared1: Oh, my! We have a current reservation that I was hoping to apply the discount to so I would have to speak with a CM directly. I hope the phone lines don't tie up like that this time. Please let there be a this time...Disney put out that discount please!
