What time is your reservation?

What time do you usually make your table service dining reservation for?

I have a couple for 7 pm and I almost think that is too early, I don't want to cheat ourselves out of park time. But I have also heard that making a later reservation at O'Hana, you have to wait a long time for your table.

Usually in the 6-7:30 range, to not interfere with nighttime shows.

I typically make my reservations between 6 and 7. It also depends on my schedule. If I book a restaurant in the park I'm in I'll usually make it a little bit earlier than if I make it at a hotel. My reasoning is the hotel ones are a bit nicer so I want to have time to shower after a day in the parks and dress nicer, which takes time. Then I'll make it closer to 8pm.

You mention Ohana, I've dined there at 3:30pm and 6:30pm before. It is a lot of food and I've felt super stuffed after it. The 3:30pm was nice because it gave me time to digest and the wait to be seated was super quick. I would lean closer to an earlier reservation there. With an earlier time you can also go back into the park if you want with plenty of time to spare.

If we're doing an evening TS (we often do larger meals at lunch instead), we typically make them for 5:00 which is the same time we normally eat at home. We often do parks in the morning, relax back at the resort for a couple of hours in the afternoon, then go grab a bite to eat...then we'll head out to another park for the evening. With 5:00 reservations we find that we don't normally have to wait for a table.

If you have children I would try to stick to their normal meal times. I eat anywhere from 5:00 to 8:00 if it is an adult trip. It depends on what works in our plan.

If I make an ADR, it's usually for an early lunch. Our plans tend to unravel as the day wears on. I often regret being tied to dinner reservations, so I prefer not to make any.

For some people, getting the perfect reservation time at a favourite restaurant is more important then park time. If park time is important to you, I'd consider counter service dining or making a reservation at a restaurant within the park.

Depends where we are and what we are doing. Sometimes 6 pm (EPCOT or AK, HS), sometimes 8:30 (California Grill for Fireworks). If we have no evening plans, often 8 pm.

It depends upon the day. For days where I want to catch the fireworks at 9pm, I'll eat at 6pm or 7pm. For days when I'm skipping the night time show, or the night time show is at 11pm, I'm usually eating around 8pm. On "early" dinner nights, I'll have breakfast, a snack in the park, and skip lunch. For "late" dinner nights, I'll grab a muffin for breakfast, have lunch around noon, and skip the afternoon snack.
