I was wondering when Wishes and the Spectromagic usually is held? Is it an hour before the parks close, or is it a set time every day? I'm so overwhelmed by all the info!!
We're trying to set up a PS for CRT for dinner on May 1, and I want to make sure we have enough time to eat and get a good spot to watch the fireworks, but I have NO idea where to start. I know the May hours won't be out until Tuesday, but I'd like to have an idea before they come up :)

May 1 is a Sunday, Spectromagic probably will not run that night. It's usually Saturday and Tuesday in May. Wishes will probably be around 9:00, it doesn't get dark until about 8:30 in May.

There are days that Wishes doesn't show-- however it's pretty rare. During value season Spectro sometimes only shows once a week. Being the start of the May 5th week-- there may be several showings. Too hard to say if there will be a Sunday one yet. Good news is that your park hours should be out in a few days!!

I know, I'm hoping the park hours will be out tomorrow!! :)
So, we think around 9:00 for Wishes?
Now here's another question, when the park hours do come out will they include times for Spectro and Wishes?
Thanks again!

Yes, event times will be posted - BUT NOT ALWAYS RIGHT AWAY.... it sometimes takes a few days for the event times to be posted.

Also, if MK is open to 10pm, Wishes, if shown, will be at 10pm; and if they run Spectro, it is usually an hour before that.

Occasionally, usually on Saturdays due to crowds, if the MK is open until 11pm, they will do Spectro at 9 and 11, and Wishes at 10.

Of course, all hours and event times are subject to change!

Do they run the Spectromagic Parade in October at all? Or is it just the MNSSHP parade?

Don't know if you'll see my post ;) but Spectromagic is run Saturday nights (twice) and Mondays nights (once) in October. It will be VERY crowded as in those pictures you posted on the now locked thread.

I will be visiting WDW Sept 23-Oct 1 and wondered how often and at what times they run the Spectromagic Parade during that time of year? I would imagine the crowds should be relatively light, but I have never been during September so I am not too sure about the scheduling of shows and parades....

There is one MNSSHP during your stay on Sept 30. Spectro is run only on Saturday nights and Tuesday nights in Sept/Oct. Usually there are two runs Saturday night and only one run Tuesday night.

Thanks for the info - We arrive early on Friday Morning Sept 23 and will be staying at the Swan. First day will be a combo of MK in the AM and Epcot in the PM. We plan on going to MK Saturday night so that works out that Spectromagic is on that night. Also - what is MNSSHP? I am not sure what that stands for...

It's Mickey's Not So Scary halloween Party at MK. It's a special event that you must buy tickets for. It's from 7:00p to Midnight for party ticket holders only.

They have a Halloween parade and trick or treating and Halloween music and decorations. It a lot of fun!!

The tickets will probably go on sale May. Here's the info on the DIS about last year's and this year's dates.

Oh ok - I got it... I actually was there one Halloween and forgot the name of the event - it was a lot fo fun though. Since I am going in late Sept, I will have to miss it this year...
