Welcome to another KatMark Trip Report. Truthfully, I've lost count how many of these I have done. 3? 4? 5? I really don't remember.
Let me give some introductions for those of you who may not know us.
First, there is me, Kathy of the KatMark. I am a 55 year old wife, mother of two terrific sons and a daughter-in-law. I have worked as an administrative assistant for the same attorney for 38 years. I am a die hard Disney lover, as well as a lover of Florida in general.

Then there is Mark (age 60) of the KatMark, my husband of 30 years this past May. Mark is the one who turned me into a Disney lover after our first visit together when we were engaged. Mark umps a LOT of baseball games during the summer to support our love of Disney.

As I mentioned, we have two boys and a new "daughter."
Andy, our oldest, is 27 and the head baseball coach at a local high school and is currently employed as a Computer Aide (but hopefully he will be subbing permanently in November for a woman going on maternity leave teaching English.

Andy has been dating Des for two years now; Des is also a huge Disney lover:

Mark is our youngest and is 25 years old. He is an assistant wrestling coach at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and works for a subsidiary of John Deere in Dubuque.

This past June (just two months ago), Mark married the beautiful Alisha who is now our daughter. Alisha works at a subsidiary of John Deere as well (although not the same department as Mark) and works as a CNA at a nursing home on weekends when needed.

Mark, the boys and I:

A wedding picture:

And, while we were way, I was presented with a grandpuppy (Rolo):

And we have our Princess, Cookie. Cookie is 15-1/2 and we aren't sure how much longer we have with her. She has cancer in her gums, but she isn't suffering and we will keep her as long as we can:

So, back to the trip. This was a trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Since it was such a monumental occasion, we decided to make it a longer trip than we normally take. We spent seven days at Disney and nine days in Marco Island with our best friends, Nicki and Todd. This trip consisted of some new adventures...some good, some bad; some DIS meets with new friends and a few tears, but lots of smiles and laughter. I hope you enjoy the journey.
Up next, our arrival day.
