What Time Is "Rope Drop"

Is It A Set Time?? If So What Time?? & Umm What Is It

The rope drop takes place at the opening time of MK, you need to get to the park about 15 mins before opening time and proceed through main street to the entrance of the land you intend to go into. There is a rope across the entrance to the land, then there is a short opening ceremory before the Cast members drop the rope and allow guests into the land.

The rope drop is at all the Disney parks and at the set opening times Disney characters appear and the park is opened. Personally I think they can be quite hazardous because usually there is a big crowd of people that all surge forward to get on the rides quickly once the rope drops. I often feel sorry for the little kids being dragged along. I wish Disney would just let people into the park properly to save on a large bulk of people all being in the same place. Universal and Islands usually let people in early if it is peak season and open a lot of the rides up, thereby helping the early crowds disappear.

Hi there,

I have to agree with the previous poster "rope drop running" can get dangerous for all especially little kids. Disney could do this lots better, it even takes place at the water parks.

This also takes place at DLRP.
