What time is it ok to mow lawn?

I think 8 AM. I don't think the day of the week should matter. What difference does Sunday matter over Saturday?? :confused3

The day of the week has me confused too. Not everyone has Sunday off. Not everyone sleeps in on Sunday. I don't get why Sunday :confused3

Joking here, but I wish everyone could agree and mow at the same time.

Typical Saturday, I get woken up by a mower at 8 am. I wait until they finish at 9, then head to my porch with my coffee and newspaper, only to have the guy on the other side start up. Then at 10, DH will have finally gotten up and he'll go start mowing. It would be so much more peaceful if everyone mowed at the same time. :hippie:

To answer the OP, I'd rather everyone wait until 9 am on weekends, but I understand 8 am on hot summer days. I'd say before 8 is not ok.

8 AM any day.

I couldn't imagine having to wait until 1PM, that is insane. But that is why I would never live anywhere with a HOA

I agree. If you waited until 1pm to mow your grass around here you'd be courting a heat stroke. I mow my grass early in the morning, before 10am, or late in the day, after 6pm. Middle of the day is just too hot and humid here in Georgia

Agree with this. In July and August, there are times the heat isn't below 90 at night, so by 1pm, it's 100 degrees with a heat index of 110. During the hot of the summer, most of us mow around 7am or late, right before the sun goes down. I have never thought twice about it. I am sure my neighbors haven't either, because we all do it.

Btw, the sound of the mower/weed eater doesn't phase me. Horns honking at 7am...I might lose it!:lmao:

7 or 8 am.

By 7 am on a weekday, I'm already out the door. On Sunday, I'm probably just getting up.

On Saturday, I try to sleep in, but a nuclear bomb can't wake me, so I wouldn't hear mowing. When we had a dog, though, I would have been up by 7 on Saturday, too.

one of our neighbors cut the grass at 6:30 am one saturday. when it wakes my 3 year old up, that ticks me off. that's way to early to be doing that. and he did that in dec. when our grass was brown.:headache::sad2:

usually they start at 7 am on saturday AND sunday.

our neighbors are very OCD about their grass. most are out usually 2 times a week. most of the front lawns on my block are a little bigger than postage stamp size. yet they feel the need to cut twice a week.

it's really annoying.

we like to tick them off and cut it once every 2 weeks. it's not high, but not short and you can't see the dirt thru the grass like the neighbors like to do.

hubby made the neighborhood watch/street association group, so i already told him what his first order of business is at that meeting...our OCD grass cutting neighbors. :thumbsup2

Daylight hours for me.
I can't remember ever being disturbed by a lawn mower, I'm an early bird, up at 4:30 a.m. weekdays and by 6 a.m. most weekends.
My only complaint is that freakin trash truck at 3:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays - I swear it goes up and down my street three or four times! I don't get it?? :confused3

Since all my immediate neighbors do pounding music all hours of the night, I say anytime I want in the early morning hours.

I have one neighbor that has a 40 inch screen TV in the front seat of his car, insane!

Can't wait to move!
