We desperately need rain. Thought we were finally supposed to get some yesterday, but not a drop in my area. Our drought continues.

9:10am and it's currently 72 degrees.

Well we built an arc here, yesterday. I would send you some if I could. Here in Suffolk County we have another huge bout coming today. Then is should turn nice for a few days. Thumper I'll do a rain dance for you

Hope you two have a lot of stamina, you'll be dancing an awfully long time. Listening to the weather last night, still no hope for rain. And according to the weather man, winter doesn't sound too promising for moisture either.

We'll keep praying for rain though.

Well it's a beauty here today. 82 at 11:12. At what point did I think it was a good idea to head to South East Mecca in August for 11 days? Oy vey.

Summers back! The begining of the week felt like fall, cool nights and nice days. Now HOT and HUMID!



It's 1:37p and 88 degrees with the humidity it feels like 90!

Yay!!! Today is the first time this year we've hit 90 degrees! It was 96 for the high. Tomorrow is back down to 80. Score. OK, I'm good with one day, bring on September.

It's been an extremely busy few weeks with the move and getting settled in. We love our new house, but haven't had a lot of time to just relax and enjoy it yet!

Thumper Man- I sure hope you guys get rain soon, and enough to make a difference.

We have had enough rain around here to last for quite awhile. It's still monsoon weather here in Tucson and almost every afternoon the clouds roll in, the wind kicks up and we have some powerful storms. Lots of downpours and thunder and lightening and flash floods like I've never seen anywhere else. The storms can appear seemingly out of nowhere and fortunately they never last very long.

The roads can quickly become quite dangerous in only a matter of minutes and cars can easily be caught in rushing water. It is not a smart thing to ignore the barricades and flood warning signs. In fact, Arizona actually has a "Stupid Motorist" law, and if you ignore the signs and have to be rescued, you will be fined.

On the bright side, most days the sun still shines and the temps have mostly cooled off to the 90s, and the evenings are starting to be gorgeous again. More dining outside!!

I am off to New England on Friday for 2 weeks. I so hope and pray that the weather is agreeable. We have so many plans that requires NICE weather. We will be in RI, CT, MA and ME!!!

Off to 'think' about packing. Gag me, I hate to pack.

Here in Orlando it's a warm 92 and sunny. Long island on the other hand is about 80 and expecting nasty storms tonight.

Boy, it's been nice the past few days, mid to upper 70's NO humidity. No AC needed . It's been cooling off well at night too. We are supposed to warm back up toward the end of the week though.

6:40 am, beautiful sunrise this morning, 77 degrees. I spoke too soon about temps dropping to the 90s. The highs this week are supposed to be around 105 every day.

But of course, it's Arizona...it's a dry heat.

Thanks Luv. I usually give the weather report from where I work in Santa Fe. I live about 45 miles South. Santa Fe finally got some much needed rain over the weekend. Pooh's and Anna's rain dance must have worked. Not nearly enough to help solve the drought, but a step in the righ direction. Where I live, we got rain on Saturday night. Nothing yesterday. Looked like it was going to, but as usual, they just seem to bypass us. High Pressure is moving back in, so no chances of rain for the week. The South Eastern part of our state really needs the rain. They've only had minimum traces of rain and have been hovering in the 100's down there.

It's 4:07 here in Syracuse NY and it about 71 degress nice but I would prefer warmer temps. Waiting for result of yearly blood test. I am alway a little nervious about results. Last yr. everything was fine. Oh, well such is life.

OK OK OK, I am getting REALLLLLY sad …… just heard a rumor that IRENE is coming to visit New England as well as DH & I … ??? Who is IRENE you all ask … well IRENE is a HURRICANE!!!!!!!!!

In the meantime, while I pack and clean the abode (9:04am) it is bright sun in San Diego, lovely 72 degrees.
