i like to get there early and when i go to WDW's MK - i like to try and get their for between 30mins - 45 mins before the official opening time.

what time is it best to get to disneyland for opening?

do they open the gates a bit early, etc?

thanks,

xjx :)

Depends on the time of year you're going and whether or not you plan on riding Nemo first thing. If you want to ride Nemo first thing, I suggest adding on 20 min to all of these times.

Low Season: 15-20 min in advance
Medium Season: 20-30 min in advance
High Season: 30-45 min in advance
Week between Christmas and New Years: 1 hour

And the basic rule on opening the gates early is if the crowds outside of the park, waiting to be let in, are extremely large. Otherwise they'll open up pretty much on time.

On days where the park opens after 9 am, they let guests onto Main Street 30 minutes early, and do rope drop at the end of Main Street.

WDW does the little opening show with the famly of the day. Does anyone know if DL has started ths. I thought it crowded up the front of the park and made rope drop a mess. I much prefer to cruise around Main Street before rope drop

30 min. is a good rule of thumb during the week, but I like to do 35 - 40 min. on Sat. or Sun.

& to all...it's amazing what a difference the line length is... between getting there 30 min. early vrs. just 10 min. early.

- 30 min. early & you're 5th - 15th in your line.
- 10 min. early & you're 150th - 200th in line.

Plus you can kill the 30 min. by visiting with other happy early morning guests, applying lotions & munching on McBreakfast Sandwiches.

If you can't get there per DLRs recommendation above, it's almost easier to get there 10 min. AFTER opening (after the line has moved thru).
