What time is best for Goofy's Kitchen?

What time is the best to reserve seats for dinner at Goofys Kitchen, then go straight to fireworks after? We want to see the most characters and have the most fun.
Can someone provide me with the ph# as well?!?

I made reservations for Goofys Kitchen around 7:30 in the evening on a week day and it was an amazing time to go. Lots of character interaction and it was fairly quiet.

We made a reservation @5pm and we were the first people seated and had great character interaction...and the food was fresh and hot. I would go at this time again. Dinner took 2hrs so be prepared to be there awhile but it is great.

We also had our reservations for 5:00 pm and had a wonderful experience! Good HOT food and awesome character interaction... We were there for over 2 hours and were glad that we decided to go early. After we left we still had plenty of time to run around in the parks before the kids got worn out and we were able to walk off some of our dinner

I think anytime is a GREAT time to go as long as you have a reservation, otherwise you will be waiting quite some time for dinner.

If you get done with dinner early you can always wonder through the shops in DTD or on Main Street. That's always fun.

It depends on where you want to watch the fireworks from. If you want a spot on the hub, then you need to get there 1.5 to 2 hours before.

Allow yourself 1-1.5 hours for the meal, and about 20-30 minutes to get back into the park, depending on how you get there (monorail or walk).

Thanks everyone, I think Tinkerbelt has a good idea.... I will stick with 5:00 reservations and relax (on my birthday) at Goofys Kitchen and slowly walk to a good firework vantage point. See you April 11-14! first time back since I was 11!

It takes that long because of all the character interaction and all the activity going on with the characters...like Goofy playing his pots and pans as drums. They try to get all the kids up for that and it all takes time. The 2 hrs really does fly by, if you have the time it is well worth it.

Thanks for the quick response! We've been to Chef Mickey's at WDW and had to "wait" for characters - but I couldn't imagine 2 hours.

We have done dinner and b-fast at Goofy's. You can get in and out of there in an hour, but if your kids are in the right moods and the character interaction is great, then it really can take a good two hours. Basically it is dinner and entertainment. I'm sure with older kids are those that go without any, can get in and out faster. Mine are younger so just to get their food, then get them settled, get my food and start eating - that can take a fair amount of time in itself. Goofy's is great at any time. We have 5:10pm reservations on the 12th with no set scheduel after so we plan to take our time and get our moneys worth of food and characters!
