What Time is "Ashore" on Castaway Cay-

Hi Friends- Just wanted to figure out what time to reserve the parasailing surprise for DH and DS-
So ashore what time?
I have 2 choices 900 am or 130 pm

It depends on when the ship docks and the crew gets set for the captain to open the gangway.

That being said, parasailing is one of the most frequently cancelled excursions since the wind conditions have to be just right. So I definitely would not tell them until it is time to go to it.

I’d go at 9am. Best morning ever!

We were able to get off the ship at around 8:30 AM when we visited Castaway Cay in February.

Ashore time will be listed in your app/plans, and it varies based on itinerary. Note too that it's an estimate, and can be a little earlier or later depending on docking, CMs going ashore, etc. As already noted, they'll know if the ship is late docking and will adjust your excursion accordingly.

I've parasailed on CC twice and loved it! I'd recommend doing the earlier slot-it'll be pretty much right after all ashore, so you can do do that first then you have the rest of the day to do the beach/explore the island, etc. If you do the afternoon slot then it's smack in the middle of the day (and you'll have to 'come back' from wherever you're at).

Not always, it depends on the itinerary. I've seen it as late as 10:30am for certain itineraries.

But if it's 10:30 for the OP's cruise, they wouldn't be offering parasailing at 9am.

I like the afternoon slot. Get off early, Grab a great chair, Enjoy the water, lunch, head back towards the ship for Parasailing. Parasail and then you are almost back at the ship. Its a great way to wrap up a day at Castaway IMO (I have done it twice). Something to note is parasailing is often cancelled due to weather (wind) so do not get anyone's heart set on it
