What time for Ohana??

What time should I make our ADR for Ohana is we want to walk down to the beach and watch the water parade and wishes?

Well, it depends on what time Wishes is. The water parade is at 9:00. I'd allow an hour and a half to eat, plus time to be seated. So, I'd make the ADR for about two hours prior to the time I wanted to be on the beach.

The schedule says wishes starts at 10PM and the MSEP @ 9:00. Is that the same as the parade on the lagoon? So it will start at 9:00 also? Will it last an hour or just a few minutes and then you have to just wait on WISHES until 10:00???? SO CONFUSED

The MSEP is not the same thing as the Electric Water Pageant. They are two very different things and totally unrelated. EWP will only last about two minutes, but its a fun little thing to see.

We had a reservation at Ohana at 6:30 on the night that Wishes was at 9:00. After dinner, we had a relaxing stroll around the resort, then headed down to the beach. We didn't feel rushed which was nice.

we always get a 9:30 or later adr, those times are the ones that seem to be available too, so it works out. We get to the beach at about 8:30pm and walk around or lounge. It's so pretty, you will like to just take it all in. If you have kids there are tons of other ones playing in the sand and running around like crazy. They give you an arcade voucher with the magic your way package so we also use it during this time, they have a nice arcade right by the back patio area. It was so cool b/c we planned to do this and then realized that all the games were free, for some reason, but i wasnt complaining! So we got to play as much as we wanted for free!

The water pageant is so cute. There are cute little animals that move a little, which are all made of lights and it's sort of like a little train of them and they move across the lagoon. Search online for a video, you'll find it.

If you are going to eat before the fireworks, make your adr no later than 7pm if wishes is at 9pm, maybe even 6pm b/c you may have to wait awhile, that is prime eating time, plus you dont want to feel like you need to rush or worry about making time. That is why i vote for eating afterwards. The restaurant has always been MUCH quieter too.

Eat some sticky wings and chocolate milk for me!!

This is our first visit to wdw. I have been doing my research for months now. What is the water parade? I have an ADR for 'Ohana @ 6:35, but wishes are @ 10 in May. Is it okay to look @ wishes from the resort?
