What time can I get lunch at threebroomsticks?,,,i'd like to about 11am,,is it open for lunch then or just for the breakfast ressies?

How are the lines?

we did lunch on our first day there. They started letting us form a line for lunch early, about 9am. They had rope lines set up. Then once the breakfast crowds got thru, they let us wait in the rope lines inside. They started serving lunch about 10:30 I think.

No reservations needed, but if you aren't in line by 11:00, then expect to wait a good hour to eat.

The food was good IMO. And keep an eye out for the shadows of house elves cleaning and owls flying into the windows.

You don't make reservations for lunch or dinner at Three Broomsticks because it's counter service. They have, however, crowd control in place here for the busy season. There is no going into the restaurant without standing in line and waiting your turn, no table holding, no lingering. They don't let you go to a counter to order if there are no seats for you to sit at. They direct you to a table once you have your food. And they have lots of TMs around clearing tables the minute they are empty. The lines are super long right now because everyone wants to try it out. So if you go during the typical lunch rush 11:00-3:00, you WILL have to wait, as much as an hour or more with peak summer crowds. Evenings are a little easier. And I'm sure when crowds lessen in the fall, the wait will as well.

Friend and I had dinner there around 5:30-6pm, and didn't wait too long maybe around 30min. This was a week after the opening.

We ate dinner one night during opening week on Wednesday and they were short staffed so it took an hour for us to get up there and get our food. It was well worth it, we got the rib and chicken platter and one of the choc deserts...omg I want to go back just for that chocolate desert

We were there opening week as well and found it rather poorly run and disorganized. It took forever in line because nobody really seemed to know their job very well yet. We saw lots and lots of empty tables because the order takers and food gatherers took so dang long to get anything done. The chicken we had was very dry and the salad was a poor quality. The shepherd's pie and pasties also weren't very good. The stawberry-peanut butter ice cream was worth the wait however.

Since we were there opening week, I'm hoping that things improve there over time. People are going to wait and eat there no matter what because it's the Three Broomsticks. I just hope Universal gets their act together as far as food and service here because so many of the other restaurants are much better run and have much better food. I hope they don't think it's "good enough" because of all the crowds showing up.

We spent that time being entertained by a host & hostess trying to decide if we were muggles or not. Food was really fast and good ( fish ) and we weren't rushed. The room was beginning to fill up as we left.

Thats great news! We will be skipping breakfast to arrive at IOA for 7.30am so Iam sure we will be ready for lunch at 10 ish!

We ate "lunch" there on August 5th. I believe we ate around 10:30 am as we had skipped breakfast that morning when we did the early entry. I had the fish & chips and my daughters had the 1/2 chicken platter and the shepherd pie platter. We all enjoyed our food. Two of us had the frozen butterbeer (which I prefer) and one had the regular butterbeer. It seemed to be getting much busier as we finished up our meal.
