What time for an Ohana ADR?

Reading reviews of Ohana, it seems like the worst people say is that the service was bad because they were soooo busy, OR that they had to wait a long time past their ADRs.

If I request the earliest seating for dinner, will I have a better chance of not waiting around?

I don't care if we're not there for the fireworks. :thumbsup2

We just ate at O'Hanas for the first time a few weeks ago. The food was delicious and the service was great. We had an early adr for 5:15 so we were among one of the first tables to be seated. If you make an early ADR you will be just fine. Enjoy!

We also dine early there, bsically because you get so much food that you need time to walk it off! Our ADR ws for 5:20 a few weeks back, we were seated almost immediately, managed to walk over to the resort shop on the opposite corner from 'Ohana and our beeper went off!

We have found earlier is better all the way around at Ohana. Eaten there many times and always try for an early seating.

We had a 6:30 ressie for dinner for 2 adults, arrived a bit after 5 (I know we were really early) and hung out at the bar. We were seated 45 minutes after our ADR time but once we were seated we had great service and amazing food

Once during Spring Break...we had a 8:40 p.m. res. We were not seated until 9:30. No big deal we just sat, waited and people watch. Which turn out to be a blessing for us...because once we were seated....and the appetizers came out...the Wishes fireworks started at 10:00 p.m. and we got a awesome view. What a nice surprise...forgot about Wishes and thought we had missed it.

4 weeks ago during F&W times.....was at Ohana and our reservation was at 7:10 p.m. checked in 15 minutes early as requested and we were seated at 7:00 p.m.

I'd make it early. We had a 6:30pm ADR time and waited 45 minutes past our time! It was rough.

We had dinner for around 9pm. You can see the fireworks and they pipe in the music. It seems a little quieter and the food is AWESOME.

We haven't gone to 'Ohana on our last two trips, but we used to go all the time. I found the best time to go with a good chance of not having to wait long is right when dinner starts, which I think is at 5pm. If you don't mind an earlier dinner, then I would recommend that. Yes, the line at the host stand looks long because people start showing up early before dinner opens up, but then the line moves very quickly.

Service can be slow at 'Ohana but that can work in your favour. There is lots to eat and it is good to pace yourself. The last thing you want to do is run out of room before dessert.:rotfl2:

As for being seated, we have never had a problem and we always eat between 7:30 and 8:00. We show up 10 minutes early and are usually seated within 10 minutes of our ADR time.

we've gone for dinner twice at OHana, both times with early ADRs, around 5:30. Both times we were seated about 40 mins after our ADR time, so I'd agree that they are very slow to seat.
