Hi DISers -
I need some advice.
We were planning to do a morning at Epcot to catch a few of the popular Future World rides (we have another full Epcot day planned too) but I would also like to book the Princess Breakfast for my princess-crazed DD.

First for those you have been - about how long should we plan on being at Akerhaus for the princess breakfast (1.5 hrs or 2 hrs, or more)?

Is it true that breakfast starts at 8:30a and ends at 10:10a?

So what do you think...book the earliest time available for breakfast , eat and then catch a few rides... or book the latest breakfast time possible and squeeze in 1 or 2 rides before breakfast)?

The rides we would hope to do are the two favs - Soarin and Test Track.

Thanks.

I always book the first seating if possible. You get in quick and you can be done and out within an hour! The Princesses move along quickly. The fastest place to eat and get out will be to your left as you walk in and wait to meet the main Princess. (That's where they start first thing in the morning) You can request that area I would think. It's also close to the buffet. The best seats (IMO) is right close to the buffet. There's a few tables right in front of it which is the second spot the Princesses come to. Works out good for an in and out too. It takes a while for them to get around again and once you finish eating you'll wanna get out of there! You can take in a good bit of stuff early in the morning! It's a great meal! She will love it. I have pics in my trip report too if ya wanna sneak a peek. ;)

While it is true that it does not have to be a long meal (the princesses are very well organized and the service is good), the earliest you could reasonably expect to be out is, say, 9:15 (if you are seated at 8:15, that is). But let's say 9:30 to be on the safe side. By then the line for Test Track will be long and the line for Soarin' will be very long....I guess that I would have one adult skip Test Track and run ahead for Soarin' FPs for everyone . Finish TT (the line is usually shorter than the line for Soarin'. unless there is a breakdown...), head to the other side of FW and do Nemo/Crush while you wait for the Soarin' return time.

A later breakfast may not work well - if you ride Soarin' immediately and then head to Test Track....I don't know if you will be able to get to Akershus by 10am. That is if the latest ADR is 10:10, like you think....I would call Disney Dining to be sure about that.

I am thinking here...if you post this in the Theme Park forum and ask for help setting up an AM Epcot plan that includes the three things you want, you may get some better advice than I can give! We have done the breakfast three times and each time we got the first seating we could, then walked back to Soarin, got FPs, and amused ourselves in the Land and Living Seas till our return time - we did not bother with TT as we thought that it would be too stressful. We HATE waiting in line!!!

Anyway - hth a little!

We always book the latest seating and that usually works for us. I do not like to rush a meal and I know how I am and if it's after 9 am I going to want to be hitting the rides. I say get to Epcot do soarin and test track and grab a FP for the one you liked best then go get breakfast. Sit have a nice relaxing meal and then go epxlore. JMO

When we went last November we took a 8:30am reservation..the breakfast is quick but they do tell you that it takes all the princesses about an hour to visit all the tables. It is a big place and they do take their time with you but they take their time with others, as well. We left before we saw Mulan..it was taking to long...we were done with breakfast and wanted to get started. Also remember to give yourself a lot of time to get there..the walk from the monorail or parking lot takes about 15 minutes with kiddies. ;)

We had an 8:35 ADR, we were the first in the park and the first ones to be seated. We spent about an hour there....we would have stayed longers because another Princess was due to come out but the 3 year old was done once she saw her idol, Ariel. We were back into the park and getting on all the rides with no problem.

If you do choose the earliest time and are the first to be seated try and get in the back left corner by the kitchen, there is a brown door there and that is where all the Princesses come out so you will be the first to see them.

In mid-June, we had a 10:20 ADR, which I think was the latest they were taking or close to it. That allowed us to FP Soarin', ride Soarin standby (this took a long time this day - 10:00 when we got out of the Land!! - usually we would be out by 9:30 at RD), grab FPs for M:S and walk over to Norway.

We did not see Belle the greeter until 10:40, though - I was surprised how long we had to wait outside and in line for her.

We were out of the restaurant by 11:30, so it actually didn't take that long.

I wouldn't plan a breakfast that interfered with RD time, myself.

I am glad to see your question as we are going for the 1st time in Dec. I was going to let you know that we do have an 10:25 reservation though (i don't know what the latest is).
