What time does TTC Open?

I will be staying off property and driving a rental car to the Magic Kingdom. I want to get there early - - before opening at 9 a.m. - - so I can walk up Main Street and be in front of the castle when the ropes drop and the rest of the park opens. I want to be on Main Street by 8:30 a.m., if possible.

That said, how early can I get to the TTC and get the ferry or monorail to the main gates? I recently read something that stated the TTC doesn't open until 8:45 or so.

Any suggestions/strategies would be appreciated!

The parking lot opens up at 7:00. However, you will be held back at the TTC until 8:45. You will not be able to get to the MK for the rope drop.

If TTC doesn't open until 8:45 and you had an early PS at the Castle, how would you get there if you're staying off-site or wanted to use your car?

You get up to the gates at the TTC where they hold you and get a CM's attention. You tell him/her that you have a PS (they may ask for the confirmation number). They will then let your party through to board the resort monorail which will be running then.
