What time does the dining plan start on check in day

We have a room only reservation at AoA on Saturday night and our package w/ dining plan starts Sunday at Coronado. We will want to grab breakfast before driving over to check in at Coronado. Will our magic bands work for the dining plan or do you have to check in first?

I am pretty sure you have to check into your hotel before the dining will work, but you can check into your hotel any time after 6am(even if a room isn't ready for you).

It's definitely as soon as you check in-we've checked in previously and within 10 minutes we were happily eating and drinking in the foodcourt.

This year we have an adr at 7.30am on check in day-can't wait.
