What time does MK parking lot open?

We've got ADRs at Chef Mickey's at 7:10. We will have our own transportation. What I would like to do is park at TTC - take the monorail to Contemporary - then take the monorail to MK after breakfast. However, is the TTC parking lot open that early?

We're staying onsite - most likely either AKL or POFQ. I'm okay with Disney transportation, but just trying to minimize waiting for buses as much as possible. Do you think it would be easier though?

I want to be at MK for the opening ceremony.

They will probably know when you check in, but the busses run regularly early to the Magic Kingdom and other places specifically for the Character Breakfasts. I would catch one of those and be dropped off right by the entrance rather than worry about the other links in the trip like the tram, monorail, and parking lot. I found when staying onsite, it is so much easier to take a bus to MK, it's the only one we don't drive to.

Yeh, typically, I would agree with using Disney transportation. We've always used Disney transporation in the past, but having done that, I also know how long you can sit and wait on a bus sometimes. No one in our family is a morning person (least of all DH - he's downright grumpy!), so I'm trying to minimize our waiting time in the morning as much as possible.

We had a 7:20 two weeks ago at Chef Mickey's. We had a rental car, but we decided to try for the early bus, and there were taxi's waiting outside the BW in case we needed one. We got to the bus stop about 35-40 minutes before our breakfast time. We did wait for a little while, and I was thinking we were going to have to take the taxi. Just then the bus showed up. We were the only ones on it, and he did not stop at the Swan or the Dolphin. As we approached the MK entrace plaza, dh walked up and asked if there was any way he could take us to the Contemporary instead. He said "sure, we can do anything" and dropped us right at the door. He was so nice.

As the previous post said, the early buses to MK will take you directly to Contemporary. All you need to do is tell the driver.

Your situation is an even better reason to take the bus and not drive.

No matter what, the "breakfast bus" will get you to the Contemporary faster than any combination of driving and monorail.

And, FWIW, the MK lot is open VERY early and the monorail will be running.
So if for some reason you want to take the extra time and extra steps of drving, walking, and monorail "looping" at that time of day... you can do it.

Ask this on the transportation board and you'll get a definitive answer. BTW, you wouldn't have to worry about taking a tram getting there that early, you'll be able to park right up front and have a very short walk to the TTC.

When we took the train tour the monorail didn't start until almost 7:30- we were told to be there by 7:15 so the group of people that came by monorail were late. I would take Disney's early morning bus- they run regualrly to all the breakfast and tour places- much easier than trying to do it on your own./ If you really want to drive you will have to park at the contemporary or you won't make your reservations and then after breakfast you will have to drive to the TTC to park because you can't stay at the contempoary all morning.

We had the Cinderella breakfast years ago and there was an early bus. We have also just driven to the contemporary and parked in their lot for our trips to Chef Mickeys. The Security folks have a list of those with reservations.

I was at the MK in June and the parking lot opened at 8 AM for the general public with WDW buses and CM getting earlier access
It is probably the same at all parks
