What time does CA open for WOC FP?

If the schedule states CA opens at 10am do the gates open at 10am or earlier? I want to run over and get FP's for WoC while the rest of my family is at DL.

If the gates open at 9:30am, is there a rope drop that I need to wait for before getting my FPs? Just wondering if I should wait until 10am to head over.

Also, could you confirm where the FP's are? Is it by GRR?

No rope drop. At 9:30 you can enter and go in Condor Flats and ride and get Soarin FPs. Go to the GRR FP distribution which is where the WoC show tickets are disributed. Go down San Fransisco Street toward the Pier. Past the end of the street is where rope drops are set up to the Pier area.

When do the World of Color (GRR) FASTPASS machines open?

o Year round DCA opens officially at 10AM.

o For many years DCA has opened every day unofficially at 9:30AM. Never has Disney published this, but it is a well known fact and it is available to all guests - offsite, onsite or day trippers. During the first 30 minutes only one ride is open - Soarin' Over California. And the Soarin' FP machines are open. Since WOC opened in June 2010 DCA has also offered WOC FPs during this first 30 minutes.

o For guests staying at the DLR hotels DCA allows entry at 9AM to get WOC FPs. This is available through the special entrance to DCA through the GCH. Each guest must show proof of being a DLR hotel guest - namely a room key. This perk is also available to those who eat breakfast at one of the GCH restaurants but are not DLR hotel guests. They must show a receipt for their meal.

All ticket media needs to be activated on that day by the ticket/ AP holder entering either park. After that is done the ticket media may be taken by one person to collect the Show Passes.

thats new to me wow, so we can go to DL 8am, do things there, I take the tickets and run to DCA to grab fps??? and then I can go back over to dl (I thought my whole group had to leave with me to go get the FP's.

Correct! The tickets have to be activated in either park, but once they have, one person can hop with all the tickets and get FPs. Have fun!
