I've never had trouble making ADR's (or the old PS's) close to my trip, and I'm trying to figure if it's related to what time you dine.
I assume the later you dine the easier the ADR, but let's find out... :smokin:

We always try to get our dinner ADRs for 6:00-6:30 PM.

Depends on which park and what we are doing. We prefer to dine later so I try for around 7. Exception is when we are going to an event like MVMCP - then I like to eat before and we will have an early dinner. When we do this we skip lunch and eat breakfast instead. The other exception is when we want to make sure we see Fantasmic. Then I'll usually book dinner for around 5:30 just to make sure we have plenty of time. Of course when it comes to something hard to get like Le Cellier I'll take whatever time they can give me!

Since my wife and I don't have kids, we shoot for around 8:00, but will take later if need be. We rarely have trouble getting ADR's, even on short notice... :smokin:

we make our ADRS for the very first seating, whether it's lunch (11 am) or dinner (4 pm) - at home we eat early, too - since we also always call at exactly 180 out, we've never had a problem getting our first choice

I have only made 2 evening ADRs in the last few years and they were both for 5. Not a problem for us.

I admit I prefer lunch ADRs. I've not had a problem getting them and the food is cheaper ;)

We do dinner ADR's around 5:30 PM.
THis way we are seating and eating by around 6 PM and back in the Park by 7:15 PM.

We do a late CP breakfast at 10:30 AM on an early morning entry day at MK OR a lunch at 11:30 PM - such as Coral Reef in EPCOT. ;)

Around 7:30 to 8 for dinner. We like a late lunch anywhere from 3 to 4PM for TS and then snack for dinner. When we do a late lunch we have a big breakfast and then grab a dog or whatever to tide us over till the big late lunch. However, we don't eat in the park, but one meal like every 3 days when going for 30 days and have maybe twice as many lunches than dinners.

No way I could every do the DPP or eat one even two meals a day out over that type of time frame.
