DW, DS8, DD4, and I will be at WL for 9 days in September. Parks open at 9 and generally close at 8 or 9 while we are there. We do not do early entry. Both our kids have trouble taking mid-day naps because whenever we return to the resort mid-day, they just beg to go to the pool.

I am curious. What would your typical schedule be for having the kids in bed? What time do you have Mickey call in the morning?

When we took DDs,7 and 9, to WDW last year, we made sure we were at each park at opening - not EE. We typically got them to bed by 10 (except for Epcot and MGM the parks closed by 6). We got up each morning by 7:45, ate a quick breakfast at the hotel, and headed out. This worked fine for us as my girls get up fairly easily and none of us require alot of time to get ready. We didn't usually take a break in the afternoon - only on our MGM day did we do this as we wanted to see Fantasmic. Also note that MK was having no evening light shows during our stay.

Have a great time on your trip!:wave2:

Our kids are 4 & 7. At home they go to bed at 8:00 and are up around 7:30 and 6:00 respecitvely.
On our recent trip, most nights they were in bed between 9:30-11:00 every night. We found our oldest would crash then and the youngest wouldnt stop talking,LOL!
We had the Mickey call scheduled for anywhere between 5:30-6:30, depending on our plan for the morning. I was always up first and we wouldnt wake the kids until about 6:30-7:30.
They dont take naps at home. We too tried to get them to rest after our midday swim and shower, but it never worked. A few times the youngest would crash on the bus, while we were heading out for the evening. ;) He would only get a few minutes of sleep but it helped.

Our DS 8 and DS 6 go to bed here at home at 8, but at WDW they stay up until about 10:30-11. Epcot is the only park open until 9:30 in the off season (beg of Dec) so usually we are there every evening until closing after Illuminations. By the time we get back to the resort and get ready for bed it is pushng 11pm usually. On our scheduled day off (we always have at least one) we try to pt them in bed earlier to catch up o some sleep. No matter what time they go to bed though, they are always up by 7am at the latest!
