What time do you arrive at the terminal?

Can't decide when's a good time to arrive at the cruise terminal - when do you all get there?:flower1:

10:30, then we don't have to circle the parking lot first if DCL isn't ready to start letting cars in. You can go in...go right up and you are all set.

Last year when we cruised we arrived at the terminal at 9:30, having no idea when they let you in. We were told 10am so we drove around the port checking out all the other ships that were docked and when we went back they let us park in the turning lane that leads into the terminal, and wait until they started letting people in. It was actually about 10 minutes after 10 before we were allowed in. They said they were still trying to get the off boarding people out of there.LOL. Guess some guests didn't want to go. We are planning to arrive closer to 10am this year and just sit and wait like before.

What time do they start letting you board? I don't remember.

What time do Palo ressies start?

Thx
Joanna

10AM and when we get on the ship, I go directly to Rockin' Bar D to get my Palo Reservations and check Dining Room Changes to have my favorite server for the cruise!

Do keep in mind that people on this board are a little nuts and anxious (I mean that in the best way). The doors open around 11:45 - maybe (depending on how debarkation and turning over the boat goes) as late as 12:15 or 12:30. To be the first people (or the first twenty), you'll need to be there when the terminal opens and camp in line. But Palo seats more than 20 people and not everyone wants the same spa treatment at the same time. When we cruised, by 11:30, the line snakes back through the terminal, and there are probably several hundred people in line....When the line starts moving, it took about twenty minutes to get back to the ropes, another ten and you could stroll on.

Out of the 2000 guest on board, maybe 300 will board in that first half hour. Of those, not everyone will be running off to get Palo or spa ressies.

Wouldn't it be great if DCL had a hotel right there for all of us cruisers?? Yea, with a balcony overlooking the port so we could watch her come into port in the AM!!!

I like to get to port as soon as possible. It drives my kids crazy, but I can't help it!!

I plan on being at the port at 10:30 AM. We're doing our second family reunion cruise with 12 people (so far). I know not everyone in our group will be thrilled about waiting in line for almost 2 hours to get on the ship, but they will just have to deal with it. ::yes:: After I get my KTTW card, I need time to figure out when to go to Palo.

Count us in as some of the early arrivers. We usually get to the port between 9:30 and 10:00 but we like to look at the ship and think "hey, we'll be on it in a couple of hours!!!" If you get there early, you can wait in the parking lot across the street until security gives the ok to let everyone come in to the terminal.

Hopefully we will be on the first bus from MCO to Port Canaveral. - Mike
