What time do you arrive at the park on your first day?

We have a 3 day park hopper ticket, we can't check into our hotel until 3pm.

How do you handle this? Do you drive to your hotel, park, walk to the park and enjoy until you can go back and check into the hotel?

Not sure where you are staying, but one year we arrived at Hojo at about 8AM and our room was already ready. We checked in and walked over. I believe (at Hojo at least), they will still let you park there if your room isn't ready yet.

Kayla's mom, thanks for your response 1) we are staying at Hojo's. I wonder if I can call that morning to see if the room is available. Or would it just be best to drive over and either plain to go to Park if room is not available and/or check in as soon as possilbe

2) love your username! My oldest daugther's name is Makayla, we call her Kayla for short.

We are also using a 3 day hopper. Here's our travel itenary:

Saturday -travel (planes, trains, automobiles), check into hotel, lay by the pool, enjoy some food, go to bed early.
Sunday- DLR/DCA
Monday-DLR /DCA
Tuesday-DLR/DCA
Wednesday- breakfast with some characters, pack up and leave for home.

We are traveling with children and found from our travels that having a seperate day for just traveling works best for us.

Hope that helps

Last year our room at HOJO's wasn't ready. They had a room though that they stored our luggage in with no problem.

You should go straight to Hojo. Go to the front desk and register/check in. If you room is available, they will give you the keys. If your room is not ready, leave your bags with the hotel (or in your car if you preferr) and head off to the parks. When you are done at the parks for the day, head back to Hojo, stop at the front desk and pick up your room key.

I'll third this one! :goodvibes

I have stayed at quite a few of the hotels on Harbor and some have had the room ready when we arrived, some not. Usually once you check in they give you everything, including the parking slip that most places want you to have, even if you don't get your key. Park your car, throw the slip on the dash board and head off to DL!

Now if I had 3 day hoppers and didn't get there until later in the evening on the first day, I would plan on going to DTD to look around and check out the DLR hotels to quench my disney thirst then to bed early to get a head start on the next morning. But if you arrive early ... check in, park your car, and head to the parks! Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

Check-in times are always later than they really are. It's just for the stragglers that check-out real late and if it's one of the last rooms to be cleaned. I usually can check in by late morning. But unless your flight is late, don't even worry about the room, dump everything and head straight to DL.
